Evidence-"Evidence" means and includes-- (1) All statements, which the Court permits or requires to be made before such statements are called oral evidence; (2) [All documents including electronic records produced for the inspection of the Court]; such documents are called documentary evidence.

The amendment in the Indian Evidence Act makes it admissible in evidence.The law has changed termendously in this area. But, yes, as pointed by Arvind, the other party has equal right to challenge it as tempered or to its genuineness etc.

Indian Evidence Act has undergone tremendous changes after the Best Bakery case whereas any electronic records are admissible as evidences provided the opposite party shall to prove its tamperment or its genuineity.
