u enroll your name to the local bar association.I think I am right. Let us see what other learned members say.
Kiran Kumar (Expert) 12 November 2009
any advocate enrolled with any State Bar Council in India can practice any where in India.

u need not to change the bar council membership.

however u may take the membership of concerned Bar Association.

Without issuance of enrolment certificate by the Bar council of a particular State, you cannot enroll yourself in that particular state. You can practice freely all over India without surrendering your enrolment of karnatka but if you want to get enrolled in another state then you will have to surrender you earlier enrollment and will have to re-enroll in new State BAR Council.

NO NEED TO CHANGE UR BARCOUNCIL MEMBERSHIP,YOU CAN PRACTICE IN ANY COURT OF INDIA,EXCEPT RESTRICTION OF FILLING OF CASES IN S.C(U CAN PLEAD& ARGUE IN SC)

What I know that you are registered member and may practice any where in in India. In case you want to practice in another State it is better to transfer your enrollment. You not need to surrender but you need to transfer. Because of doing this that particular Bar will be with you for your welfare.
