ATM DEBIT CARD INSURANCE

sir my father was a holder of sbi bank with defence salary account. now he was died in harness before 3year.i know that atm insurance can i claim for insurane if yes how can i claim for it plz oppenion

It is not a legal query.Enquire at the bank about the insurance etc.,

It is better to make an enquiry in the bank. And to answer this question we will have to go thru., the terms and conditions of the card.

ATM insurance would be in case any one fraudulently used ATM card of your father and with drew funds . it is not your case that your father was defrauded . you would not be entitled to insurance

Some banks do provide insurance for the a/c and card holders and master policy is with the bank........

You need to submit death certificate to the bank thru BM and inquire about the policy in writing under proper acknowledgment.

Based on reply of the bank or no reply you can proceed further.....

You may visit the concerned bank and make an enquiry regarding the atm insurance and if available see whether you can claim the same if you are eligible.
