Bombay public trusts act

(Querist) 22 June 2012 This query is : Resolved
Hi. Is it necessary that a Deed of transfer is to be made for a new Trustee, with regard to the property being transferred to his name when he accepts the post of Trusteeship. Or only a change report filed with the Charity Commissioner's office suffices. Will the new Trustee be able to sign the sale deed on the basis of the Change report for appointment be considered to be valid??

The property can not be transferred to the Trustee at any stage. The property remains in the trust. Only the charge changes.

No property can be sold without the prior permission of the commissioner of charity.
