we are buying a 200 yards floor in chander nagar,uttar pradesh ,gaziabad .
what documents should we ask form the party to give us ,the impugned property is a residential flat.
inbrief what are the essential documents required at the time of buying the property

if you r buying some property please enquire about the authenticity of the Registered document from the Registrar office.
any mutation in the revenue records qua that property and most importantly check for any loan amount pending against that property which can be enquired from the registrar office.
must see the property documents espacailly the Registered deed in original and find any financial liability pending against it.

link document/documents if any
house tax pass book and receipt showing the tax has been paid upto date
electricity bill showing that the dues were paid uptodate
verify whether the association dues were paid uptodate or not?

What's the character of flat, whether multistoried building or group housing?
Besides documents suggested by Mr. Sriniwas and advised by Mr. Kiran Kumar you must call the site plan and building plan along with the certificate of approval by concerned Municipal or Urban Development authorities
