can husband demand

Dear sir,

if family of wife had taken surplus money from the husband in the year 2008 and not returned till date.

money was taken under relation.
husband have no bank transaction record but

having messages how money was demanded and collected by the family.

can husband claims his money from the family of wife

is messages showing clear evidence that family having money of husband are useful for claiming the money through judicial system.

Yes you can demand to return the money taken by family of wife. Messages can be used as evidence.

You can demand, but the chances of your recovering either directly or through judicial process are very very dim.

You have the right to recover your money lent to your in-laws, provided you have sufficient proof of their demand, sending money, and their acknowledgment of having received the money. If not, your demand can be considered as undue demand as a dowry. However, your future correspondent for return of money should be very carefully drafted, if you want to write any letter.
