Sir,
My Transfer petition( Criminal)( 498-A case) is pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and is now registered for preliminary hearing which will scheduled to be held on 22.10.2013 and in news paper there is notification made by National Legal Services Authority which organises the Supreme court Lok adalt ...My query is that can we approach to the Supreme Court Lok adalt prior admission off the matter and on hearing date i.e 22/10/2013 can we inform that we wish to settle the matter through Supreme Court Lok adalt .? Whether bench allow us in positive manner ? Or straight away dismiss our petition

Before the appearance of other party, you can not approach Lok Adalat.

Both parties are required to come present in Lok Adalat which is not your matter as on day so have no effect of the mentioned Lok Adalat in your case.

If you wish to settle the matter out of court I don't think the court would stand in your way of reaching an amicable settlement and it'd rather facilitate such out of court settlements to save its precious time by eliminating prolonged legal battles.

If any amicable settlement can be arrived, better do it. You can not go to lok adalat before other party appearance.
