I want to admit my duaghter in 1st class. But in an Acadamy the management is asking to sign an undertaking that it will not be responsible for any mis happening / injury to the child during school hours. But they will be charging fine if the child does any mischief or loss of property. They are not even telling us the result of admission test of the child. They are not giving the sample paper of the undertaking to think over it.
Please tell:
1. Is it right to take such undertaking from parents ?
2. What are the law / rules to counter this demand of the management ?
Better if you provide a case study.

I don't think undertaking affidavit serves as a contract... it is an one sided agreement.. U have a good defense that u never saw the undertaking agreement.. Undertaking is common now-a-days, no need to worry.

It is one of the condition for Admission in that School. This must be a Pvt School. If you agree, admit, if not, find another school. Govt School do not ask undertaking.
