Caste certificate for children born out of inter caste marriage

Hi, I a person who belongs to Backward Class has married a person who belongs to Scheduled Caste. We have decided to bring up our son in the rituals and practices of my side(BC).
Please assist me in knowing the procedure to apply for the same.
What all documents would be required for doing so?
FYI: I live in the state of Tamilnadu, India

Child will primarily be issued with caste certificate of what hos father has possessed

where he claims that he is practising from 2001, while as already indicated by me, he was enrolled only in the year 2012!!! CAN ANYBODY PRACTICE BEFORE ENROLMENT? IF ONE DOES SUCH A PRACTICE IS HE NOT FIT TO BE CALLED A "FRAUD"?
