sir,,,i have been loving a girl belonging to OC(chowdary).i belong to bc-D(yadav)..their family is against our marrige as i m bc..i m working in bhel,,i m of 28 years,,can i convert my caste to oc by any means??can i go fr adoption to a oc family,,,plss let me know any single opportunity,,

There is no way for conversion from one to caste to other. You do not have the choice of your parents. It is really wonderful idea to go in for adaption to another caste simply to marry a girl!. What about your life till now? Are you going to leave the entire life behind you for the sake of marriage? It is a foolish idea. If the objection for marriage is only caste, better you give up the marriage idea.

Neither Hindu Marriage Act nor Special Marriage Act prohibits the marriage between the two castes. As a matter of fact to extirpate the scourge of 'caste system' from our society, inter caste marriages should be encouraged.

I think many experts have given their valuable suggestions. As suggested, the inter caste marriage is not a crime but in the prevailing situations where the honor killing on such issues are on high, the author is advised to take a very careful step on the subject, whether to risk the life(lives) on such passions.

It is doubted that the parents of the girl would agree even after change of the caste. Better convince them.
