Caste determination & procedure to change the caste with that of my father.

Hi, Im vennila. The question is My father is of Scheduled caste which is mentioned in all his school & office records. But both my parents expired in a fire accident 19 years ago when I was a minor. Before their death we were staying in one of his friend's place because of poverty and while joining us in school his friend has mentioned in our school records as christian. Now I & my brother are working in a State Govt. since 15 & 9 yrs respectively. I knew that we are Hindus but did not know that my father belonged to SC. In all my school records & office it is mentioned as christian. Recently, when we shifted our house, luckily i got a certificate of my father & in that his caste is mentioned as SC. Now, I want to myself to be changed to SC since my father and also my husband is an SC. What are the steps/procedures to be taken for this. Please help me. We have suffered a lot at that stage and we have not availed any benefits so far under SC category. Reply me at the earliest. Thnks.

It is already time barred, but by giving reason that now you came to know the real fact after getting the certificate of your father you can file a suit for mandatory injunction. It is procedural one. You contact your local lawyer.

There is no time limit for filing the motor accident claim petition so it can definitely be filed.
