hello sir,
I am having queries regarding to procedure of change in name and date of birth for the purpose of getting my birth certificate. My name written at time of my birth in the books is different and date of birth is in 1996.
And in my school records my name is different and date of birth is in 1997.
Now, i am facing problems in getting my birth certificate.
And I am from Haryana and I am a major.
I want to continue my school name and DOB as that of 1997.
I need your advice for the legal procedures for getting my birth certificate.

What is your correct date of birth as registered in the register for births and deaths in your Municipality?
If the date of birth appearing in the school records is wrong you cannot continue with it, you have to revert to the original date of birth only by filing a declaratory suit to declare your correct date of birth as per the Municipal records.

Sir,my correct dob is 24/12/1996, and in school records it is 24/12/1997.
Also my name in the register for birth and death is different.
and sir i have completed my schooling and i am doing my college.

You can change the date of birth in the dob certificate by getting the order from the Ist Class Magistrate.
In respect of change of name in the dob certificate, there is a separate procedure i.e., Nespaper publication, gazette publication etc.

You can change the DOB by getting the order from the magistrate.
For changing the name you have to follow separate procedure, newspaper publication, gazette publication etc.

But still i have a little doubt that, can i get to keep my 1997 d.o.b ?
And 'after changing d.o.b' should i proceed with the process of change in name? Actually i have got my birth certi. With my name mentioned during birth and d.ob.as of 1996.
Also that i have to publish in newspapers ,etc for changing my name written in the birth document to Ankit and not the opposite,right sir?(bcoz i have to keep ankit my name)
And sir can u please tell me the exact procedure that i have to follow for these changes,because officials in court are saying that i cannot change these since both my name and d.o.b are different.
