Your 2 cases will be tried separately.
Sec. 125 of the Cr.P.C is for maintenance and Sec. 340 must be for giving false evidence. The procedure u/s 340 is entirely different than the procedure which is there for Sec. 125.
You can submit the judgment of the Court by taking the printout of it from the Court's website. It is not at all necessary that it should be from a Journal. Also, you can take the printout of the case from the library of the Court, if at all you want a printout from the Journal. Every Court has a library and most libraries are equipped with a Computer and a Case finder software.
As far as written arguments are concerned it will depend on the judge. Mostly, as a matter of practice, oral arguments are not dispensed with even if written arguments are submitted.

Answer in both questions is affirmative, you must file the written submissions as well as judgments, no one is bothered about the source of judgment but should be supportive to your plea.
I fully agree and appreciate the expert advise of Mr. Adwait Bhonde qua difference between the case(s) u/s 340 Cr PC and 125 Cr PC, wherein latter case is stated to be on the final stage of arguments.
