Resp. Members,
Are Labour Laws applicable to employees employed by Co-operative Housing Society? If Co-operative Housing Society decides to terminate the services of an employee illegally, what is the remedy for such an employee? Please advise.

Industrial disputes act applies to co=op sector. You can pursue remedy for illegal termination under that statute before the labour court. Or else you can challenge the same by taking course to arbitration proceedings under the co-operative societies act itself.

Labor laws are applicable to employees employed by a Cooperative Housing Society. I concur with Mr. Subramanian on action to be taken.
