In the Employees compensation Act 1923, there are specific formulae only for arriving at the payment of compensation.

Employee Compensation Act is a specific Act and compensation is awarded on the basis of specific provisions of the relating to the injury and disability incurred by the employee during the course of employment. It not for indemnify the expenses incurred by the employee for treatment.

Moreover, Workman Compensation (Amendment) 2009 has brought some provisions in the Act for reimbursement of expenses of medical treatment for injury sustained by an employee during the course of his employment.
