How many times can a lawyer absent himself from court hearings without harming his clients case ?

It is mandatory to attend the court in all the adjournments for hearing. In case of absency court will grant 3 adjournements normally.

In case of absency of an advocate at the time hearing normally 3 times will granted in the courts.

supplement to mr.Vadrali - order 17 rule 1 proviso. as amended in 2002. after amendment recording of reasons for adjournment is also necessary.
