Languages recognised for society matters under MCS Act. 1960

(Querist) 01 October 2017 This query is : Resolved
Sir, Just I want to know other than "Marathi Language" being the Official State Language which of the other Languages are being recognised (for written communication purpose) under MCS Act. 1960.

1. Marathi, Hindi & English, can be used for "any & all" communications /petitions /orders, for any matters relating to the MCS Act.

2. For INTRA-Society matters, the language for "any & all" communications, is dependent on the initial registration declaration documents of the Society.

1. In latest development, MH has issued directions, that "STRICTLY ONLY" MARATHI language be used for any & all purposes in all MH depts. This means even when dealing /talking /whatever (asking for bribe) with the Public.

2. EITHER everybody should learn Marathi or it also means that nobody in MH should learn any other languages. Wonder how a Tamil'ian will speak Marathi, when he arrives in any part of MH.

Keep Smiling .... Hemant Agarwal
