Does smell of a perfume comes under Copyright/Patent act?

the smell of a perfume comes under patent act, for which, the reasearch & development causes.
whereas the smell of a perfume comes under copy right act, for which, manufacturing process causes, to bring in to market.

all the answers are frivolous and absurd.

smell of a perfume neither comes under patent nor copyright. copyright doesnt play any role in this context.
the manner in which the perfume id prepared can be patented if it satisfies the provisions of patent act.
