Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 14 September 2024 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir/Mam,If a person has a case registered under 294, 323/32 and 506 as Juvenile and case was also in Juvenile Court and got निर्मुक्त from the court.
Is he eligible for govt. Job
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 15 September 2024
If he was acquitted then the chances are bright.
a person who has been acquitted in a criminal case can apply for a government job, but the employer has the final say on whether to hire them:
In 2011, the Supreme Court ruled that people facing criminal charges are not suitable for government jobs unless they are acquitted. In 2016, the Supreme Court ruled that employers must provide accurate information about a candidate's criminal history, including convictions, acquittals, arrests, and pending cases. In 2023, the Supreme Court ruled that an acquittal does not automatically qualify a candidate for a government job, and that employers can still consider the candidate's background and suitability.
