Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 11 January 2010
No. father in law has no legal liability to maintain his daughter in law.

This mean judge has not thought it proper to hear your interim application without serving the husband of the applicant.
adv. rajeev ( rajoo ) (Expert) 12 January 2010
Husband is liable to maintain the wife, hence father is not liable to maintain his daughter in law.
ex-parte interrium application for maintenance application can be heard, some times it depends on the judges.

I agree with Rajeev Sir.
