Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 19 June 2010
This act provides protection, maintenance, right to live in the house of husband/live-in-friend/partner, injunction against husband to dispose off his properties etc.

A simple application under its section 12 is to be moved on oath either to protection officer of magistrate of nearest court and rest action is started by them.

A married wife has every right to live in the house of her husband if she has been pushed back therefrom under the provisions of this act.

I also agree with Raj Sir,

Even if there is cause3 of action, complaint can also be filed against female members of the husband's family

definately such married women can get protection order against her in laws, threatning her or throwing her out of laws home under this act, along with other anciliary reliefs.
