Appeal against the trial court judgment - reg.

(Querist) 04 July 2017 This query is : Resolved
My friend has been punished in the trial court at Chenglepet, Tamil Nadu in a criminal case. He wants to file appeal before the High Court, Chennai. What is the time limit for appeal? Can any one suggest any good senior lawyer having good exposure in Criminal Cases at Chennai? The evidence filed by my friend has been completely brushed out and the prosecution version without any evidence and based on the sole investigation officer testimony, has been accepted by the court. Please oblige.

Apply for the certified copy of the judgement.

From the High court site find out the lawyers appearing in such cases and negotiate / discuss with them.

If you wish search in LCI databank at:

You may personally search for a very able local senior counsel specializing in such/criminal matters for a considered opinion.

Read provisions of Section 372 and 378 Cr PC.
Find out and engage a prudent local lawyer to file the appeal.
