Dear Experts Gud Evening
Pls let me know
Whether a document obtained under right to information from any public authority is admisible in evidence before any court regarding any civil, or criminal case?
How it can be marked as documentary proof ?

Every document whether it is obtained under RTI or otherwise can be brought on court file but every such document is not parse-admissible. You shall have to get it compared as per Evidence Act.

Yes certified copy of a public document is admissible in evidence as secondary evidence.

generally an attested copy is provided under RTI Act....which is not per-se admissible meaning thereby not admissible by itself...
you need to prove the document by summoning the relevant records.
Evidence Act makes a few distinctions on admissibility of certain documents so proceed according to the law.

Merely because a document has been received under RTI Act, do no mean that it is admissible in evidence and can be got exhibited. You need to prove it.

Yes. The documents obtained through RTI requires to be proved so that it can be admissible as evidence.

- There are mainly two types of documents which can be received by RTI information.
Type 1: General information.
Type 2: Records of certain documents / certificates, for example Sales Tax Registration Certificate or Excise Registration Certificate or partnership deed with registrar.
The type 2, RTI certified copies may not call for further evidence if not questioned by opposing party. These are public documents and court need to take the judicial note of the same.
Still it depends on the type of information and contents which is being used.
