I have joined hospital and served as doctor for more than a year under fixed salary basis. The hospital has not released my salary till date.
Can I file case under consumer protection act. Are employers or doctors come under consumer protection act?

CP Act is never (never) applicable in this case.

CP Act can be invoked only in cases of deficiency of service. Handover the case to local advocate. He will service notice initially and later take up the matter at appropriate forum.

Send Registered letter to the hospital claiming the arrears.

If no reply send legal notice / file case.

If you have been given any appointment letter/FTC/Contract of employment/salary slip etc show the copy to your Labor Law Consultant/Service matters lawyer and give inputs.

Your counsel shall guide you further.
