ESI and PF Deduction of Maternity leave

Dear Experts,

One of our female employee covered under ESI scheme but not completed 9 months of service. she is not getting Maternity benefit from ESI but our company ready to give 3months salary, should I deduct ESI and PF amount for Maternity time salary also ??

Yes..you need to deduct from employee's salary and contribute employer's share pf ESIC & EPF as you are paying wages to her.

Why not you grant her loan or advance to be recovered in easy instalments form her slaries? this would give her advantage of getting a substantial amount to meet her medical expenses etc. In such an event PF/ESI contributions need not be deducted.
