difference between sale agreement and salling the propertly

one of my relatives has got some bit of property written on sale agreement in the year 2000 from his father and on his sons wife name now it is 2011 will this agreement work? if the written person has expired and the property owner has expired not registering or transferring the property how to go about, as such it was mutual agreement and there was two lakh rupees given to the owner

Have to go through the Sale Agreement and then alone we can revert back to you. The agreement given for consideration will have bearing effect in the property.

To file a suit for specific performance of contract limitation is 3 years from the date of execution of the agreement of sale. But now it is 2011 you cannot enforce it.
