498'a' stay by high court

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 13 September 2011 This query is : Resolved 
As the victim is at USA, complaint u/s.498'A' was filed by her father and the same was refered to police. After police served the notice to the Accused u/s.41 CrPC. They inturn applied for quash of complaint and they obtained interim stay. The police is under the pressure from their superiors to close the complaint as false, as the victim is at USA and not entitled to any relief. How far the version of police is correct ?

Yes its true, as the victim is the complainant so there is no role of police in the said statement.
