Respected sir,
agreement while selling my land to a builder-
part payment of total cash payment while signing agreement,rest of cash payment when he starts the job eg.construction of flats.after the completion of flats -handing over two flats to us.But in agreement paper it is written rest of cash payments as job proceeds.is it suitable or there should be a time frame for rest cash payment and advanced dated cheque should be taken from the builder.pl.advice.

Without seeing the whole agreement it is difficult to advise.

all payments should be by cheques only . dont mention any thing about cash . it should be cheques or demand drafts .
get agreement vetted by a lawyer . dont sign any agreement unless it is crutinised in detail by your lawyer . time should be essence of contract .

it is better if the payment schedule is worked out in a specific manner related to time and amount. do not leave anything vague.
