This is done in discharge of his official duty.
I do not think the complaint will have any bearing on his job except to give your temporary reprieve or shifting him from your jurisdiction.

The best way is to demolish the FIR before the court by providing evidence of your presence in a far off place, instead of making any complaint against the police officer.

Dear querist
you can file quashing petition before HC against FIR, forget to file any complaint against police

Nothing fruitful may happen till complaint is based on evidences and facts beyond doubt. Generally the department saves its officials.
If you have proofs try to go for quashing of the FIR through High court.

Yes, advised by experts above, it is better to file a quash petition before the high court based on the evidences in your possession.

A better option, I feel, is an action under tort for malicious prosecution.

I agree with the advice of Mr.Rajendra Goyal. Though you are away, the FIR might have been constructed on the basis of available evidences. Instead of filing complaint, file quash petition.
