Bouncing of cheque

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 24 June 2010 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir
My cheque got bounced and I sent notice to party. Time of 15 days have been over & I said to my lawyer to file the case. He told me that there are holidays going in the court in JUNE 10 so we will file the case in JULY-10

Is the court also get closed in account of HOLIDAYS etc. or lawyer is just making some pretence ?

Which holidays? There is no holidays for the criminal courts except the govt., holidays.
It is technical case so go thru., the limitation period.

Pl see that the complaint is to be filed within one month AFTER the party received notice and failed to pay within 15 days.
So do calculate the days and file the complaint as early as possible. Criminal courts do not have holidays except public holidays.
