The Affidavit has been duly notarised with required compliance to the Notaries Rules(along with seal and signatures as per Section 8(2) of notaries act). But after that, we found that there was an error in the affidavit. So we corrected it in pen, and the same Notary stamped/sealed it after verifying. However, he did not sign or write his initials on this stamp/seal. Does that pose a problem?
Also, does it make a difference if this change in affidavit is big or small(as long as it has the seal of notary)?

The word or sentence or term changed need to be seen. Is it just a typographical mistake or does it change the meaning of any term?

Yes. Agreed with the advise of Mr.adv.Yogen Kakade sir. However if it is a typographical mistake, then that mistake may be corrected by that Notary and he shall make initial where the mistake occured. Otherwise get a fresh Notary.

Regarding this, is there any express provision or case law that says that placing of initial or signature(in addition to seal) on the corrected part is mandatory?
