property dispute

Sir, My father's uncle gave him some property gratuitously on his personal name but my uncles are claiming it as HUF and demanding share..plz suggest as there is no where written it is joint prop nor anything except my fathers name. i am law student which act would be applicable if i want to study this case.

If it is self acquired property of your uncle then your other uncles cannot claim, but there should be a regd., document in your father's name regarding the property given by your uncle.
If it is ancestral property of your uncle then other uncles have share in the property. You can go thru., the HIndu Law.
