(Querist) 17 November 2011 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir/Madam,

I am 30 yrs of age. My fiancee and I want to do a court marriage. Wanted to know how many Witnesses would we require? What documents need to be submitted? and Can my Parents sign as a witness?
Arvind Sehdev (Expert) 17 November 2011
1. Two witnesses

2.
a. Your marriage certificate from the temple/gurdwara/church where ever you got married.
b. You date of birth proofs [birth certificates].
c. Two photographs.

Rest go the marriage registrar's office they give you the list of documents to be brought along with the marriage application..

3. Yes they can. One from your side and one from girl's side [any one of her parents]
