My right/share in deceased father's property

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 16 January 2012 This query is : Resolved
An agreement was made between father and son for certain sheduled properties shown in particular one suit. Does this agreement is applicable to other properties which were not shown either in the agreement or in the said suit ? Complete details are in the attachment. Please study thoroughly and deeply and please advice, guide and suggest. Thanks in advance

As a rule of law any agreement is enforceable only with respect to the subject matter it has been made and can not be extended to apply beyond that.

However the agreement attached is invalid, in my opinion, for the reason that it comprised properties for which suits were pending then,in law, any agreement or compromise with respect to withdrawal of those suits was legally possible to be entered into in those suits only and not outside court.
