SIR,

I HAVE PAID 50,000/- TO MY FRIEND AS A LOAN
AND I HAVE RECEIVED SIGN ON REVENUE STAMP

BUT HE IS NOT PAYING MY MONEY

WHAT CAN I DO OF MY FRIEND

Payment with signature on revenue stamp is just a receipt of money having acknowledged. The same can be used as a proof of payment, but that does not substitute duly executed agreement to be entered in to with your friend.

You file a suit for recovery against him but prior to that serve a legal notice to him advising to return your money with interest failing with to face law suit at his own cost and expenses.

If you can manage then a criminal case (FIR) under section 420 IPC can also be filed against him which shall definitely pressurise him to come to your terms and conditions.

Unless you reveal (except the names) the contents of the complete receipt, word by word right from the beginning to end, it is not possible to answer your query. Also you have to indicate the date of the document.

File recovery suit in civil court and the

limitation for it is 3 years from the date

of receipt/ signature on revenue stamp.
