WC is mandatory for all the employees
can be interchange with mediclaim?

Respect to your words and i am too with this but in terms of law i would like to enhance my knowledge therefor put this quarry against experts,here the quarry is that weather WC is replaced with mediclaim or it is mandatory as per WC act.
Because in my nearby company they having the practice that they are taking mediclaim for all their employees and they are not taking WC.

if the employee is covered under ESI then he can not claim compensation under the WC Act. In case of other insurances, it can be agreed upon that the insurer shall discharge the liability of the employer in case of any employment injury. it is a question of payment of extra premium for additional risks.
