Job offer but a criminal record

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 20 October 2012 This query is : Resolved
I have been offered a job by a company and they have asked if i have ever been arrested.. Am i bound to disclose this and what can happen if i dont.. Does any law can prevent me from not disclosing this information.. And can they take this offer back if i disclose this.. Can i be protected constitutionally so that my employment is not terminated just because of being under trial?

If it is a private ajob then you are morally liable to disclose all the material information.
However there is no legal bounden duty to do so.

And if I disclose can my offer be terminated?
I have not been convicted. My case is still under trial.
Is there any way in which I could disclose and still keep my job?

I do not think you should loose job if the same did not involve offence of moral turpitude like cheating, theft or forgery etc.
