Registration of land

Dear sir/madam,
My father had some land and possess pattadar pass books and have tax receipts.

The lands were not registered and my father expired.

Now i want to change and register the land in my name.

Kindly provide the necessary procedure and docs to be submitted

What do you mean by 'father had some land'. Clarify how he has that land. From where he got that land.

You have to apply for the survivors certificate before the Tahasildar of your Taluka, after obtaining it you will have to apply for transfer of lands in your name. All the legal heirs names of your father will be entered.

APPLY FOR MUTATION IN RECORDS STATING DEATH OF YOUR FATHER AND STATING NAME OF HEIRS LEFT BY HIM.DEATH CERTIFICATE WOULD BE REQUIRED.

The only proof we have right now that the property is in my fathers name is "pattadar pass book" and the tax slips.

Is it enough for the transfer of property in my name (after applying for mutation of property with death certificate)

Also my grand father wrote a will in the name of my grand mother and we are not aware what is written in it.

I dont think they will give me a copy of the will if I ask. Is there any legal procedure to get the copy of the will?

Proceed with transferring the property to your name. If anyone has a will, they will produce it then.

Dear sir/madam,
In the above case, I'm the only daughter to my father. For the mutation of property in my mothers name, do I need a legal heir certificate?

where can i get a legal heir certificate, from the civil court or from MRO.

What are the docs required for legal heir certificate other than death certificate of my father.
