A case under section 27 of Consumer Protection Act has been filed against me?
CDF issued show cause notice. Notice received by my mother but unfortunately she lost it and did not informed me. Thereafter Police came to my house and told that they have warrant against me and gave the case number. At that time I was not at home.
Whether Consumer Forum can issue warrant?
Whether police can arrest me?
Whether it is bailable?
Whether I have to take bail?
What should I do now?
Please inform me about the next course and proceedure in brief.

it is penal provision. It is bailable offence, Cons. forum can issue NBW to the Judgement debtor.
If NBW is there they will arrest and produce before the forum.
Yes You have to take a bail.
Please consult a lawyer, he will file an advancement application along with bail and warrant recall application, u need not to worry.

can you please explain what is advancement application? and what exact I have to do. because I will move in person at this moment I can not afford lawyer.

IF U R APPEARING IN PERSON ADVANCEMENT CAN BE MOVED-ADVANCEMENT MEANS-
1. EVERY CASE WILL COME IN CERTAIN DATE/ IF U WANT TO BE HEAR THE SAME ON BENCH EARLIER TO THAT U HAVE TO PUT AN APPLICATION BY GIVING PRIOR NOTICE TO OTHER SIDE ADVOCATE & OBTAIN NOC ON APPLICATION ITSELF .

You will have to seek bail in the matter first and can put your defense thereafter. It shall be better if you engage a local lawyer who shall deal effectively withe all the pros and cons of the dispute and shall also produce you before DCDRF and shall get you released on bail therefrom.
