Hello experts,

I have been awarded the custody of my 10 year old son by the family court. Decree clearly states that I am the appointed guardian and opposition party should not interfere in the custody of the child. My ex wife did not attend the court and was declared ex-parte. Now, I am receiving threatening calls stating that they'll snatch the child when he is at school. Please suggest what precautionary steps should I take. Do we have any section for threat of kidnapping or threat for life.
Please suggest.

Didn't she go for an appeal for child custody?If they deliberately take UR son away,U can file a case of kidnapping.

You can file a complaint u/s.503 for threatening and under section 361 of IPC, if the incident of kidnapping happens.

You can file FIR against them, if they do so.

Yes, you can approach police for the relief under criminal law for kidnapping and intimidating offences.
