Change of names in marriage certificate

(Querist) 02 October 2015 This query is : Resolved
Sir,is it possible to change the names of the husband and the wife in their registered marriage certificate already issued ?
(At present they are not having any document supporting the new names).
If yes, what are the formalities to be fulfilled and how much time it takes ?
Thanks

You Could Change Your Names Complying the Formalities like Gazette Publishing and News Paper Ads Etc.Consult A Local good Advocate. It will be effective from the date of completing the Formalities. You Could submit the information to Registrar Office and take acknowledgements. But No Fresh Certificate with New Names would be Issued.

Why you want a new identity?

You can change your name, you can use name change documents with your present marriage certificate.

Any discrepancy in name due to clerical mistake can be rectified by registrar office easily.
