About required time for chargesheet

Sir,
My father was died in a road accident on 17/08/2015.I lodge a FIR at that time ,driver was not caught but vehicle was caught along with DL and owner book also found. I want to know how much time required to file chargesheet in this case.

The police will take care of these aspects.

Your priority should be in filing the claim with the MACT.

Police may take time in filing of the charge sheet due to workload or otherwise. You should file case / claim under MACT.

For filing claim cse FIR copy would be sufficient along with the PM report and other documents, so just dont be bothered about police formalities, they will take care of their case.
