Tenancy

(Querist) 02 August 2017 This query is : Resolved
Does the tenancy right ceases in collapse of a building ?

Kishor Mehta (Expert) 02 August 2017
Sir,
In Maharashtra the tenancy rights subsist till the tenant continues to pay the rent and observe the rules laid out in the Rent act. In the event of the collapse of a house the tenant should continue to pay rent to safe guard his tenancy rights.
Good luck,
Kishor Mehta
