Selling relinquished property

(Querist) 04 May 2012 This query is : Resolved
From various notes on this site it is evident that Relinquishment deed is the cheapest, fastest and easiest way to transfer property. I would like to know whether a relinquished property is treated at par as free hold property ? or Do we need to get it free Hold before selling ?

Dear sir!
You seem to have gathered some confusion in your mind.

A relinquishment deed is a deed by which one of the co or joint owner relinquishes his/ her share in the property co/or/jointly owned by them.

It has no connection with term "free hold".

A relinquishment deed is not a substitute of any sale deed as you have wrongly gathered from reading of different posts here.
