Dear Sir,
We have a land at our native place. Earlier my Great-Grand father & Grand father were cultivating the same. but the same land is cultivating from last more than 20 years by THIRD PERSON who is permanent resident. We are several times telling him not to cultivate our land but he is continuous doing the same thing. In return he is giving us some grains (Rice) as rent every year. But we have no documentary proof of this rent. on 7/12 document, still this land is on our name.
But In future, Can he claim this land on his name under Kul kayada law? if yes, How can we prevent / stay away him from this land? Please provide us some documentary evidence so that we will keep him away from our owned land.
Awaiting for your reply......
Thanks,
Nitin More

Several "Kul"s (families of labors), used to take care of the agricultural activities for their landlords for generations. Landlords weren't directly involved in day-to-day work, but used to take big part of the income generated from the farms.
Kul-Kayda (Labor family law) forced those landlords distribute ownership of their lands among hard working labor families.
you are an absentee landlord . work is being done by labourer for last 20 years . he is giving you rent every year in kind . he can claim
