This query is : Resolved
In case an advocate representing his/her client is called upon as witness, then after his/her cross is over would that advocate still be allowed to represent his/her client in the same ongoing case?

Yes but advocate can not questioned on any deliberations made between him and the client in connection with the case. This is privileged communication and can not be questioned.

If not legally atleast morally the advocate should retire from the case to uphold the ethics.
