This query is : Resolved
Hi,
I am residing in Bangalore.
Recently mother’s property was transferred to me and my brother as per her will and obtained joint khatha in my name and brother’s name.
Now, due to differences of understanding we have decided to divide the property between me and my brother and completed the registration process. I want to get khata on my name for the divided property which I got.
My query is whether the khata will be ‘transfer’ or ‘bifurcation’, as mentioned above current khata is held by me and brother jointly.
Will it be "A" Khatha or "B" Khatha
Would be grateful, If I get the reply in 2-3 days.
Thanks

First get a mutual deed of partition executed and registered with the sketched map.
Once that is done apply for Khata transfer. It will be done.

Barman sir and Sethi Sir.
Thanks a lot for your reply.
Already we have executed the partition deed and same is registered in sub-registrar office with sketch.
If I am right its "transfer" not "Bifurcation" Khatha, I would be getting from BBMP
Thanks and Regards,
Ravi

BBMP is bound to give.
If it is not doing so then file writ petition in high court.

Thanks a lot for the clarification.
I am meeting BBMP revenue inspector today, expect he abides by the rule.
Thanks once again.
Thanks and Regards,
Ravi

It will be a bifurcation Katha only and not a transfer Katha. Further, if the previous Katha was A Katha, you will get this Katha too as A Katha only.
