Shop & Establishment Act

Dear Sir,

As per Bombay Shop & Establishment Act estalishment has to be closed once in a week, but I observed that on railway station shopkeepers keep there shop open on all 07 days alongwith 24*7 hours timinings could you please put light on it

This happens in India dont worry.Every body is interested to keep them running otherwise how the machinery will be greased.

There shall be a schedule with the Act and Rules where some establishments are exempted from operation of the Act.

first, go through, whether there is any exemptions in your local law.
if not, there may be any rule or notification by the railway or central government, in this respect.
