What is being done in the notice period? what is the registrars part of work during the notice period? what is the cause for the notice period?

The Registrar will be doing his other works. The publication in the Notice Board is to notify the public and if there is any objection received, to consider the objection and then to go ahead with the registration process or to refuse to register the marriage.
