I was born on 25th day of the month at night at 1.45 a.m. i.e. on 26th dawn. My parents put my birth date as 25th. I am confused since years about my exact birth date. According to me, the date should be 26th.
Can anybody help to solve the query ?

According to Gregorian calender it should be 26th. But it is possible that the date 25th was entered as per hindu belief about start of the day.

let 25 th be official. but your real date of birth is 26 only

Thanks all for the reply. But real thing is the date is 25th January which is on record at moment and if it to be changed then it will be 26th January. Indian Republic Day. Hence the query.

According to calender date, as it starts from 00.00 AM, your date of birth is 26th. But since, in Hindu Dharma, the Pandits consider the day from dawn of the day, so your parents would have considered the night as part of the previous day, i.e., 25th. But rest assured your date of birth is 26th only.
